Solubility: 44 g / 100ml water at 0°C; Soluble in Ethanol and Methanol.

CsI must be stored in a desiccator or a sealed container with fresh silica gel. For long-term protection, it is best kept in a temperature-controlled environment with relative humidity (RH) below 20%.

Handling: Zero-Moisture Handling: Never touch CsI optics with bare hands. Skin oils and moisture will cause immediate, permanent etching of the polished surface. Always use powder-free latex or nitrile gloves.

Thermal Shock Resistance: NaCl is highly sensitive to rapid temperature changes. Components should be slowly acclimated to room temperature to prevent internal stress and cracking.

CsI is exceptionally soft (Knoop 20). It does not cleave, but it can be easily scratched or "dented" by metal tweezers. We recommend plastic-tipped tweezers or vacuum pickups.
